Diawara Shows Promise in Knicks Preseason Loss
Mohamed Diawara logged 17 minutes for the New York Knicks in a preseason exhibition against the Philadelphia 76ers. He scored eight points on a 4/8 field‑goal effort and missed all three three‑point attempts, going 0/3 from long range. In addition, Diawara collected five rebounds, recorded one steal and one block while not registering an assist.
The Knicks were outscored 97‑120 as the 76ers took control of the game. Diawara’s contribution was a bright spot in a contest that did not count toward the regular‑season standings. His shooting line and defensive numbers reflected solid activity in limited minutes.
Although the team fell short, Diawara’s performance provided a glimpse of his ability to contribute on both ends of the floor during the preseason. The experience gained in this exhibition will be valuable as the Knicks prepare for the upcoming regular season.
