About CourtNations and how it works
What CourtNations is
CourtNations follows NBA players from France, Germany, Serbia, Greece, Slovenia and Turkey, and reports on their games in each country's own language, as well as in English.
The site is not affiliated with the NBA, its teams or its players. Team and league names belong to their respective owners.
Articles are written automatically
Every article on this site is produced by software, not by a reporter. After each game day, the box scores of the tracked players are collected, a fixed set of rules decides what is newsworthy (a career high, a strong or quiet game compared to the player's own season, the team result), and a large language model writes the article from those facts only.
Each article then passes automatic checks before it is published: the point total must appear in the text, invented details such as days of the week or player positions are rejected, and near-duplicates of recent articles are discarded. No human editor reviews each article before publication.
Where the data comes from
Box scores and game results: API-NBA (api-sports.io).
Career highs: official NBA.com statistics, regular season only, updated automatically when a player sets a new one.
Season form: averages calculated by CourtNations from the games it has tracked in the current regular season.
Editorial rules
Only regular-season games can set or match a career high, following the NBA's own convention. Preseason and playoff games are always labelled as such.
No article is written for appearances of under 10 minutes, unless the player set or matched a career high.
Articles state only what the statistics show: no quotes, injuries, standings or other details that are not in the data. Player names are spelled as in their home country (for example Şengün, Jokić, Dončić).
Updates
The site is rebuilt automatically twice a day, at 08:00 and 14:00 UTC. Automated articles can still contain mistakes; statistics in the box score above each article are the reference.
