Moussa Diabaté posts modest stat line in Hornets' preseason loss
The Charlotte Hornets fell 93-114 to the Boston Celtics in a preseason exhibition that does not affect the teams’ official records. Despite the defeat, the 6-foot-10 French player contributed in limited scoring but added activity on the glass and rim protection.
Diabaté logged 23 minutes and shot 1-of-2 from the field and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line for a total of three points. He collected five rebounds, splitting them into three offensive and two defensive boards, and recorded two blocked shots. He did not register an assist, a steal, or a turnover, and he was charged with three personal fouls. His plus-minus was -8, indicating the Hornets were outscored by eight points while he was on the floor.
Another French player, Tidjane Salaün, also appeared for Charlotte, posting 16 points, one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes. Both contributed to the Hornets’ effort, but the team could not overcome Boston’s scoring in the preseason matchup.
