The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Phoenix Suns 123-103 in a preseason exhibition. Victor Wembanyama logged 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and a plus-minus of +19 as the Spurs built a comfortable margin.
Wembanyama was 9-for-14 from the field, missed all three three-point attempts and made his sole free-throw. He collected four rebounds, split between one offensive and three defensive boards, added two steals and four blocks, and recorded three turnovers and two personal fouls in 23 minutes of play.
His efficient scoring, strong defensive numbers and positive plus-minus indicate that the Spurs outscored the Suns while he was on the court. The performance contributed to the 20-point victory in a game that does not affect the teams’ regular-season records.
